How often do I need to test my backflow preventer?
Once per year is the standard in most municipalities. You may receive a reminder notice.
What happens if I don’t comply?
You may face fines, or the city may send enforcement. You could also risk insurance non-compliance and the city will also shut off your water.
What if my backflow device fails the test?
We’ll provide a same-day quote for repair or full replacement. If a repair kit is available, we’ll fix it right away — otherwise, we’ll order the parts and schedule the work as soon as they arrive.
Can you install a backflow valve for a new irrigation or boiler system?
Yes — we install new devices as part of retrofits, renos, or new construction. We’ll size it correctly and register it with the city.
How long does the test take?
Usually 30–60 minutes. You’ll receive a full report, and we will file with the city for you.
